Lots of yard work over the holiday weekend (working off the pumpkin pie). There's something so beautiful about a garden in winter. So calm and monochromatic.
I am working on a painting now of a home in the midst of winter - and there is something right and "tight" about the monochomatic color palette. Like wearing a buttoned up coat - cozy and snug. Then I welcome Spring and the explosion of color - but for now, I love the gray, brown and limited palette. pve
