A Boxing Day sleigh ride! A surprise from my father. How he managed to get eight sleepy people out the door that morning (on time), I have no idea. But, it truly was the best gift ~ the kind that makes you cry when you think about it (a few more images
here...and
here!).
Janet! It was truly a pleasure.
ReplyDeleteI love these sleigh ride photos...especially the jingle bells. What could be more festive?
Well, Off on a sleigh ride, over the river to flickr, through the woods to the Barboursville ruins & the white and drifting snow to Stitchette & back to lovely JCB's for new adventures in 2010. Cherish all the special gifts from your father, the sleigh ride and the hand up.What a truly picture book world youve shared. GT
ReplyDeleteLovely photographs, JCB, and on a morning when even the South is hovering around 17 degrees, oddly warming. I especially love the photo of gray buildings in the white and gray landscape with just a flash of red.
ReplyDeleteOkay, that was just plain brilliant of your dad. I think I shall bow next time I run into him
ReplyDeleteVery sweet post and tribute to your Dad! Thanks for the link....missing you!
ReplyDeleteI can't top Gaye's poetic comment! But oh so dreamy Janet.
ReplyDeleteSo enchanting and love-filled. Just a peak into your Maine world is such a delight. Always nice to see talent and artistry expressed through several generations. The texture—and affection—in the photographs is palpable.
ReplyDeletelovely post .
