Just home from London (and beyond), where spring fever is in the air! I enjoyed an insanely gorgeous string of days. Truly extraordinary. Lots to tell and lots to share...and lots to catch up on (including sleep).
Much more to come, but for now, just a few things (falling into the category of "random things I particularly love about the UK"):
* Jaffa Cakes (and the fact that they have their own Wiki entry!)
* peat smoked salmon (a new discovery)
* Toast and rhubarb jam
* green tea with elderflower
* The National Trust
* and snowdrop bandits
Cheers!

Yes to all!
Petersham?
Oh, yes, Petersham. I have a whole post for you. Looks like you have had a week {hug}.
much more of a HobNob dark chocolate girl myself - have never really cottoned on to jelly sweets - maybe it's a New England thing? how are you handling all this jet setting? any tips on how to stay rested and collected while travelling?
Oh, Emily, it was all those years of going to British schools. I also have a soft spot for egg and mayo sandwiches and prawn cocktail crisps. Just one of those things that can't really be explained!
Gosh I am exhausted (I think I am running on adrenline). Some of the things I have learned over the years: travel light, eat conservatively, bring your needlepoint, and maintain a sense of humor! Not that I always follow my own advice...
Janet,
welcome back. you lost me on the rhubarb - one of my favorite tarts! thanks so kindly for the kind b-day wish.

pve ~ I think I am going to have to try making some of that rhubarb jam this spring. I am obsessed with it now.
