Oh. It is too hot to write. Would you mind a few photographs instead? I am dreaming of this beautiful place (I think it was my favorite). Take a peek inside over here. . . I promise more in time.
However, in spite of heat stroke, I should mention that I had the honor of attending the Attingham study program in the Netherlands with Craig Hansen of Enfilade fame. He is a true gentleman and scholar (and incidentally, brings a whole new dimension to six degrees of separation!). Today he has some interesting thoughts about the future of print magazines and blogging, and some very lovely words about me and the amazing Courtney Barnes. Thank you Craig!
Until tomorrow. Stay cool.

Janet, this is just wonderful! So proud of you!!! xo
Craig is great and such a font of knowledge. As always, inspired by your images Janet.
Janet, how fantastic! Contrats on the mention.
You are such a lively time traveler! Big cheers for doing what you love with intelligence, humor, beautiful photography, great curiosity with a dollop of slagroom!
Our worst was Saturday with a heat index of 107. A worm in my garden chose the worst possible day to cross the sidewalk to the other bed and was fried on the spot. Jeeze Louise! Just the other day we were lamenting the snow and ice...
Really spectacular, Janet.
the photographs are compelling, I must go through them all! that should keep me happy for a bit. it is hot indeed. the kudos are well deserved to say the least. pgt
These images and posts have allowed me to escape a little each morning - thank you dear friend. Keep the Netherlandish posts coming . . . KDM
I have been reading Craig Hansen's comments with interest. He describes one of the reasons why blogs are so interesting: because they are changing the way knowledge is communicated and published and ideas are exchanged - not the knowledge itself, but the conduit.
Oh, thank you one and all!
Emile ~ I too am following the comments. This is such a great issue to consider!
JCB, I am following comments too and left a few-cheers mostly for you and Courtney-and it has yet to be published. It is a good topic. gt
