breakfast in bed

Lazy days and breakfast in bed (oatmeal and sliced pears). Reading mystery novels. Those are the best sorts of weekends.

But if you must surf the web:

* the new Art of the Americas wing at the MFA Boston
* wild mushrooms: read the article, see the photographs

Oh, and some big news!

Wishing you a happy one. . .

Thought those Kaufman pieces were surley coming to the NGA after the 1986/7 exhibit. Do you have the catalogue for that exhibit? Hope there is one for the upcoming furniture exhibit as well.

It takes a mystery reader to bump "Trouvée!" Love the pear arrangement :D

What a coup! And an exciting development for the national gallery of art . . . so many museums wanted that collection.

Re: Kaufman Collection - indeed a coup for NGA and for its many visitors. Any chance some of that wonderful furniture will be on "permanent" or at least rotating display? Happy "Merci Donnant."

Stefan ~ I hope it was wonderful!

BWS ~ not a done deal at all!!! I do have the catalogue for that show, and certainly hope they will update it.

mom ~ more like I forgot to scan anything. . .

JBR ~ I think the plan is to have parts of it on permanent display. In a gallery space yet to be determined.
