fields of yellow

Buttercups. The next best thing to Queen Anne's Lace.

I want you to know that I ran gleefully into this field to get these shots, only to emerge covered with slugs. Ahhh, what price beauty? Bugs and slugs. And an army of Japanese beetles. I'm always amazed at the wild life that crawls out of an armful of wildflowers.

Anyway, just a bit of yellow for now.

Until tomorrow. . . enjoy.

Karena ~ thank you! Slugs are the worst though. . .

Ok, that is just gross. Now I know why I do not have a field of wildflowers outside my house. But a gorgeous picture, nonetheless

Angela ~ I know, huh? I really detest slugs.

A Queen Anne's Lace update: Maginel Barney's painting "Queen Anne's Lace Meadow" really captures the effect of these scattered flowers against a grassy background. I just used Barney's painting on my recent post.

So lovely, and made me long for an afternoon in a meadow, right up until I got to the slug part! :)
