Just back from Maine, where where we had a cold, snowy holiday, filled with happy laughter and warm meals. Santa was very, very good to me ~ leaving a big, bad camera under the tree! These are the last images I took with the old camera, and as soon as I get the new one set up to download, I'll have a few more wintery scenes coming your way.
I hope you too had a good holiday, and that your tummies are full of treats. In case you haven't had enough, you might want to check out this article on the secret of the sable.
Cheers!

So glad you had a nice Christmas! Belated birthday wishes and look forward to seeing you soon (and your new pics too).
You mean you got our of Dodge before we got blasted with the below zero wind chills? Good timing :-)
ah-passing on the cookies, awaiting more photographs.
The article about sable is one of the most interesting reads though I must say I am not a sweet-toothed man. I do appreciate well-written essays about food, such as this and occasionally I'm tempted to go to west wing and rouse the staff to fire up the ovens. Now, if someone could give me or point me to an essay about making fois gras on an eleventh floor terrace I would be very grateful. Happy New Year to you and to your most interesting blog.
So glad you had a merry holiday and I look forward to seeing what your new camera will bring us all here! And I beleive a new exciting part of your holiday is starting here in DC ;-)
Glad to GOT to Maine and GOT HOME safely. Fun about the camera for you. Lucky us to enjoy the benefits. Hope the new year is filled with much happiness and joy...and, of course, many new great reads. So glad I found your blog this year.
