silent clouds of stars

Seas are wild tonight . . .

Sado Island
silent clouds of stars

I thought you post title superb and then I read the poem! Just beautiful, as are your photographs.

Hands and hearts across the ocean. Life is so fragile.

Such an awful thing to wake up to for us, I can't even imagine there! One of my best friends lives in Hawaii and I've been on pins and needles all day long.
I didn't realize you had been to Japan - it's in my top 5 places to visit!
our thoughts are with them today :-(

Heartfelt...these beautiful images give comfort while we watch the tragedy in Japan.

Janet --

Eloquent, as always.

Your images have a certain poetic grace to them as well, and I think you really capture the dignity and beauty of the cultures you encounter on your travels.

Thank you all. I so desperately needed an antidote to the horror of the images on tv. May the people of Japan find their way back to the calm. I suspect they will, but it will be a long road.
