so sweet!

Georgia peaches. The gentleman stuck these in my shopping cart last night. The first of the season. Ridiculously juicy and sweet.

And pretty enough for an impromptu still life.

I am also thrilled to tell you that our wedding is featured on Snippet & Ink today. My very favorite wedding blog! A huge honor ~ thank you to Kathryn, and our wonderful photographer Kate! Everything looks so beautiful.

Happy tuesday all.

Loved the snippet and your modern Dutch-like still life. In my hometown someone always took a trip to Colorado to bring home bushels of peaches which always set off days of peeling and making up jams, preserves and for the more daring: brandied (BRANDY in what started out as a dry state???!!!) peaches. Still remember the sweet smell and the sticky delicious runs all over our faces and hands. Enjoy the sweet days.

Ahhhh, commenting is back!

little a ~ you are a peach!

hbd ~ don't you love how certain things bring back the most wonderful memories. There is a recipe in my "Modern Canning" book for peach preserves with lemon thyme. I think I am going to try it (with a little help). If it works, you get a jar!

Pleased to see that your page had a real, hand-tied bow tie - but of course that was entirely consistent with the deeply authentic feel of the entire event :)

Emile ~ yes! I found the bowtie at a vintage store in Baltimore. My nephew was so proud of it, he actually wore it to school one day!

quintessence ~ thank you for such a sweet comment over on Snippet & Ink!
