We have had a dramatic week of weather here in Washington. Huge dark thunder clouds and monsoon rains. My apartment faces west, so I get quite a lightening show as the storms roll in. I have been sticking close to home, enjoying a new cookbook, and taking the opportunity to get some stitching done.
Things brightening my day:
* Cannelle et Vanille
* ginger lemon cremes (with my evening cuppa)
* and a $4 find at the used book store!
More tomorrow...until then, be well. xo.

What an interesting and beautiful photo - rain is a good thing. Grey wet days are so nostalgic for me - all that soft, silvery light - and calming.
I love how you always have such pretties in the midst of rain. Show us your stitching and your new recipes from your cookbook!
Went to Cannelle et Vanille and we are making the first dessert this weekend for friends. Thank you for linking to that site. Is it you?
I am enjoying these muted, rainy days, even though it's so hard to get out with baby and dog! Those macaroons look scrumptious--the color is irresistible.
I have to say that I'm a person that loves the rain too...but come on mother nature...give DC a break, we're practically drowning! Let's hope this weekend's sunshine continues a little while.
pve ~ I will work on getting some photos of the needlework, but most of what I am working on must remain a secret for now :). Recipes to roll out in the next few days.
Blue ~ alas, no, Cannelle et Vanille is not moi! But, thank you for wondering if it was!
As always your photos are beautiful, I love this one!!
