Inscribed: “My new dodge and / winter coat – not / much dodge but lots / of coat.” Never mind that the fur collar is a little incongruous with the palm trees....
Feeling nostalgic today:

Hope you all had a delicious day yesterday...and are enjoying a fridge full of leftovers today! Have a great weekend.

I love it. It's very LA Confidential.
Have a lovely weekend.
Such style though. Fur coats- like jeans I'm still looking for that perfect one.
I recently inherited a fur coat from my grandmother that will make me look like I am channeling Joan Crawford, so I have to save it for just the right occasion.
One day as a young bride I was sitting in a mall cafe with my mother-in-law and I looked up and saw this bird-like older woman walking at a tilt but with great determination. But what really caught my eye was the huge fur wrapped around her neck. My mother-in-law was always game for smart mouth talk and I said, "Look at that old woman wearing a dog around her neck!" She turned around looked, whispered quickly to me, "That's no woman. That's Aunt Vera!" And that's how I met my husband's great aunt. I gave away my mother's fur. But I did buy a fabulous fake leopard jacket. I am quite sure before becoming my coat it had a fabulous fake life! Happy leftovers.
Anne ~ I am sure you will find the perfect occasion. Perhaps the next outing to the ballet?
hbd ~ what a wondeful story! Leopard is all the better when it's fake...stay warm.
