the beauty of simple things

Two photos: one looking up, the other down. From last night's sunset on the roof. A good mix of rain and sun has made for some very happy tomatoes.

Some other beautiful things:

* an award from Barbara
* being in good company
* and knowing that there is someone out there who eats spinach and green beans for breakfast (regularly)

Thank you.

Green beans are just about my favorite thing in the world, but I've never even thought of having them for breakfast! I'll have to try that soon!

Roasted green beans would be great in an omelet or perhaps on the side! My fav green beans are to blanch them, then stirfry with bacon, red peppers and onions. How come I never thought about this for breakfast?

By the way, well deserved award from Barbara. So fascinating to watch this world-wide connection, connect.

Green beans...not just for dinner any more. Thanks to Barbara. We can always learn something from her!

Now, if you'd said lima beans with garlic and olive oil on toast for breakfast we would be totally in agreement. Garlicky tomato soup is also a thing to whip up in the early hours - a tomato and garlic bouillon drunk from a good old stoneware mug is a heavenly breakfast.

I've yet to meet the green bean I can be polite about.

Great sky.

Blue ~ funny how we are all so passionate about our likes and dislikes. I am afraid I can't side with you on the lima beans, but I must say the tomato and garlic bouillon sounds just the thing to do with those roof tomatoes.

Green beans, spinach, tomatoes, your portrayals will always be the best.
