sunday at bartram's

A sneak peek at an outing to Bartram's Garden in Philadelphia. Indeed a city of brotherly love ~ I have much to share from this weekend.

Oh, and there was sun, glorious sun!

Such an odd, fascinating house...those wonderful stone scrolls on the windows seem rather like something one would find on a Scottish country house---bold and crude

Your blog is a wonderful archive of American historic houses. Like the Dilletante I was intrigued by the two-dimensional Baroque scroll. I looked on their website and like the stone pilasters, too.

Dilettante and Emile ~ amazing, no? Hopefully today's post will explain a little more.
