There were the most gorgeous poppies at the farmers' market on sunday. They were so ethereal and just glowed! However, I resisted their siren call and went for the peonies instead. How do I manage to spend half my grocery budget on flowers? Insane, I know! But, I am not the only one obsessed:
* Irving Penn's flowers
* ah-yi's poppies
Wishing you a bright, happy monday!

How ironic that today's post should be about peonies. I just came back from lunch and was thinking of you as I passed by a vendor selling the most glorious pink ones! MIR
I constantly am doing the same thing! I think it was Frank Lloyd Wright who said 'Take care of the luxuries and the neccesseties will take care of themselves'! It's so true within reason!
Your photograph reminds me of your Grandmother's needlepoint rug. xo Mom
Lovely! KDM
They had just sold the last peonies when Julie and I went to the market yesterday at 8 a.m.
Those Irving Penn images are amazing. Thanks for the link.
Your photo is exceptional as well.
Oh gorgeous! Just amazing color. But peonies are my favorites :)
