election day

This is how I started my morning...with oatmeal and a line. There was an interesting story about patriotism a couple days ago on CBS Sunday Morning. While not all Americans define it the same way, the one thing we do seem to agree on (almost unanimously) is that voting is patriotic.

when i walked connor at 8, there was a line around the block. i had a meeting near my house, so i came downtown earlier and voted at around 2-ish. it took about 15 minutes.

our hearts are beating just a little faster here in Ohio. today as i raked leaves in my front yard, i exchanged greeting with passersby. Seeing everyone with that little red sticker was really unifying. what a great day!
