night lights

In Washington you can almost set your watch by the summer thunderstorms. The heat builds all day, and the air become pregnant with electricity. Then POW! it all explodes in the evening. These photographs are from 11:00pm last night. The sky lit up with the most amazing pinks and lavenders.

Here's wishing you. . .

A peaceful night.

I've been in Portsmouth for the last couple of days, and saw the most amazing pre-thunderstorm sky ever this evening----and camera nowhere nearby!

Though generated by storms your photos remind me of the long, long twilight at midsummer in northern Europe - 10:30 in the evening and still not fully dark. Lovely photos.

DED ~ I am obsessed with the storms. Every time one rolls in I stand poised by the window to catch the next flash. Can't imagine what my neighbors think.

greer ~ I would say that Miss C is one happy, content bébé.

Blayne and Blue ~ thank you!!!
