I love the textures and patterns of an old house ~ all the details that tell the story and reveal the history of a place. I am working on a house tour (it has been a busy week!). In the mean time (speaking of history):

Re that link to the Austrian castle renovation: I love the image of Messrs Staudinger and Hallam in their dark suits and with bare feet sitting on their Starck perspex chairs in the middle of a mountain stream - post-postmodern take on 'the country gentleman' :)
